This was originally developed as\na DS3\/DS4 digital coaxial audio cable for multiplexed telephone systems, but\nits attributes are excellent for unbalanced analog audio as well; coaxial\ngeometry is best for unbalanced audio, where noise rejection is a function of\nshield effectiveness alone rather than common-mode noise rejection.
