These French style levers fit 1\/4\ninch square drive spindle systems commonly found in antique and vintage door\nhardware sets, and with the two (2) provided square spindles, it can adjust to\naccommodate doors of different thicknesses. The lever shanks include setscrews\nfor fastening to the square spindles. All other components of matching vintage\ndesign must be purchased separately to include the internal mortise lock body,\nthe door rosettes, the trim and strike plates, or the latch and fasteners.\nNote: These levers cannot be used on pre-bored doors that have large, newer\nstyle doorknob holes without first prepping them to receive this older-style\nhardware. Installation tip: Because the fasteners of the rosettes (purchased\nseparately) require a solid surface to mount to, the large 2-1\/8 inch\n(approximate size) holes must first be filled with a hardening filler, to then\nbe able to receive the rosette fasteners.
