UV and IR are\ninvisible and very harmful to the eye, the visible is very bright and if it\ncatches you it can be painful! A standard dark welding filter cuts back on\nthis bright light, they also block the dangerous invisible energies that can\nharm you. One problem is that although the welding lens blocks the harmful\nenergies, it still lets through a lot of the colors that are in the middle,\nspecifically the yellow and near orange flare of the Arc or flame while you\nare welding. This can interfere with your view of the work. We have developed\na drop in filter lens that you can use with your standard welding lens. It is\na polycarbonate material that effectively blocks the yellow, yellow\/orange\nline of the visible spectrum (589-600nm) this is why it allows you to see more\nclearly. The arc is greatly diminished and any yellow\/orange flare is\neliminated. We call this the Super Blue lens and it is to be used ONLY in\naddition to your standard Welding Shade. The filter lens will add about 1\/2 of\na shade so just use your normal lens for the work. DO NOT USE IT AS A STAND\nALONE LENS !!! PERMENANT EYE DAMAGE CAN AND MOST LIKELY WILL OCCUR IF USED\nALONE !!! Simply drop in the lens behind your standard shade and cover lens.\nProtect it from spatter as it is polycarbonate and will pit if spatter hits\nit. With proper care the lens should give you years of trouble free service.\nTo clean, rinse with water before drying off with a clean, soft cloth or new\npaper towel.
