Gima – test for stereoscopic vision, 4 forms, adults and children
This test is carried out at a distance of 30-40 cm and allows the evaluation of the cooperation between both eyes the formation of a single image, starting from the two images provided separately to the brain. Can be used for children over one year old and adults. Short description: Positive result: All objects are identified and named. Unclear result: Only one of the images is recognized. Negative result: None of the three-dimensional images are recognized. Notes on evaluating the test: Suspect strabismus, amblyopia or reduced vision in one or both eyes or as a screen test for stereoscopic vision. If a child does not cooperate, the test can be shown and the tester can observe whether the child tries to grab one of the objects next to the ball (the fish, the star or the tree). If this happens, the test is normal. If it does not happen, the test cannot be considered catological and may be repeated some time later. IMPORTANT: In case of a negative or unclear result, it is advisable to carry out a complete eye examination.
