Hillman Zinc Hex Sleeve Anchors for Concrete & Masonry, 3/8 x 3 in
Hillman Zinc Hex Sleeve Anchors for Concrete & Masonry, 3/8 x 3 in
Hillman Hex Head Sleeve Anchors fasten heavy fixtures securely into concrete and other masonry. Where a plain screw would strip or pull straight out, this anchor expands inside a drilled hole to grip the material, so railings, frames, brackets, and equipment stay firmly bolted to hard walls and floors. It works by turning the nut. You drop the three-eighths inch by three inch anchor into a drilled hole and tighten the hex nut on top; that pulls the tapered end up through the sleeve, forcing the sleeve to flare outward and press hard against the walls of the hole for a tight, secure, load-bearing hold. The anchor is built from carbon steel with a zinc plating for moderate protection against rust and corrosion. That keeps it strong and secure in concrete and masonry indoors, and in sheltered outdoor locations it stands up to weather and repeated load without loosening or corroding away over time. Use these anchors to set door and window frames, mount wall fixtures, railings, signs, and shelving into concrete and masonry. A pilot hole is required: drill to the correct size, insert the anchor through the fixture, and tighten the nut to expand and lock it. This 20-piece pack keeps plenty on hand for masonry mounting, fastening, and repair projects around the home and job site. From the Manufacturer Concrete Sleeve Anchors' design allows them to anchor into concrete, brick and block. Turning the nut pulls the working end of the sleeve anchor up through the sleeve, expanding and anchoring itself securely in the concrete, brick or block.
