Tool Description (1) PICkit 3 Programmer/Debugger is a simple, low-cost in-circuit debugger controlled by a PC running MPLAB IDE (v8.20 or later) on the Windows 0-3 platform. (2) PICkit3 is capable of performing in-circuit programming and debugging of Microchips PIC10/12/16/18/24/32, dsPIC30/dsPIC33 and other full PIC FLASH microcontroller chips. And PICkit3 can program Microchip's KEELOQ HCS series chips, MCP250xx CAN series chips and EEPROM memory chips. (3) PICkit3 is more stable than PICkit2, supports more models and faster, and can stably support series MCU simulation and download of PIC16 PIC18 PIC24 DSPIC. Status of the PICkit3 LED indicator The indicator light has the following meaning: Power: Green, lights up when the power is on or connected to the target board. Active: Blue, lights up when the PICkit 3 has established communication or a send/receive command with the PC. Status: (1) Green, lights up when the debugger is working normally (standby).
